After spending most of the week in Charleston I am back home and getting back into the routine on everyday life. I had a lovely time exploring the charming city of Charleston and I got to see so many beautiful things that I will be sharing next week on the blog. Traveling has a way of inspiring life back at home in a way that nothing else does. I got so much inspiration from the beautiful luxury hotel we stayed at, the delicious restaurants we dined at, the fashion in the boutique shops, and of course the elegant lounges we visited. No detail is too small to take in and savor. Now that I am back home and still taking in all of the inspiration, here is some inspiration to also start the weekend for this week’s curated weekly post.
SHOPPING, BOOKS, MEDIA, ETC.
Now that the weather is really starting to get cooler, it’s time to start bringing in some sweater dresses into the wardrobe and this polo fitted midi sweater dress from Banana Republic Factory looks so elegant for the season.
With Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner I am always perusing the dining section of home stores and recently came across these Autumn Vine Napkin Rings, Set of 4 at Williams-Sonoma and thought they would be a lovely addition to the holiday dinners coming up very soon.
A classic button down shirt is a must-have for any elegant wardrobe and this Calvin Klein satin classic button down shirt is not only elegant, but also a perfect color for the season.
John Derian is back at Target again this year with another line of beautiful items just in time for fall/Thanksgiving. I personally have my eye on this serving platter and this throw blanket.
Nespresso has released their holiday line of coffees for the season. This year the flavors are Almond Croissant, Peanut and Roasted Sesame and Unforgettable Espresso. I will for sure be trying out the Almond Croissant this year.
And speaking of cozy drinks, it is officially advent calendar season and a new one caught my attention and this is the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser Advent Calendar. This advent calendar comes with full-size single-serve sachet of velvety-smooth, intensely creamy hot chocolate of 16 different flavors to enjoy over 24 days. A lovely advent for the chocolate lover.
And if you’re like me and already thinking about Christmas decorating, then one easy way to incorporate some holiday decorating on a budget is to get some throw pillow covers that are easily removable. I particularly like this 2-pack of light beige/house covers from H&M home.
A book I found while perusing the shelves in Charleston was France is a Feast: The Photographic Journey of Paul and Julia Child. A book that was full of beautiful pictures taken by Paul Child while he and Julia lived in France, the photos are both intimate and compelling. A great book for Julia Child fans and Francophiles alike.
Another good book I saw was The Mistletoe Mystery: A Maid Novella. A short mystery from the book series of The Maid, this book is described as a heartwarming, magical story about the true spirit of the season, The Mistletoe Mystery reminds us that love is the greatest mystery of all. A book sure to make it onto my TBR this season.
A new novel that was released this past August, A Great Marriage looks to be a poignant novel to read while cozied up at home on those colder days. With her signature warmth, humor, and incisive style, beloved author Frances Mayes creates a multigenerational probe into the complexity of love and the great mystery of marriage. A novel of casual choices and fateful consequences, A Great Marriage introduces two unforgettable families and the arrival of a stranger who rearranges their futures.
All of the holiday romances have started trickling in and the queen of romance herself, Meghan Quinn is back with an enemies-to-lovers romance book, How My Neighbor Stole Christmas. This one looks to be a fun read for the upcoming holiday season as well.

WHAT I PINNED THIS PAST WEEK ON PINTEREST
Even though I was in Charleston this past week I was still visiting Pinterest while relaxing at the hotel and can see where Charleston was starting to inspire my more recent pins. I see beautiful interiors and architectural details, some elegant casual style and even more holiday ideas being pinned as well. Visiting a beautiful city like Charleston is sure to inspire a sense of surrounding yourself with beauty and sophisticated details and that was surely represented in my pins choices this past week.
