It’s hard to believe that we find ourselves at the last week of March already and that it’s time to start to ease into another month as we also get welcome in more spring too. I will still be in Paris on this last week of March ending the month full of simple pleasures and joie de virve as I also celebrated my 41st birthday and got to enjoy Art in Bloom at the museum. I always love the transition of the months as there’s something so renewing about fresh starts every month. A time to plan how to celebrate the next month is always a simple pleasure I look forward to every time. Next month I will be visiting our nation’s capital at Washington D.C., and I am looking forward to exploring a new place and finding all of the beauty it holds. I also plan to be a tourist in my town in April and to make a plan to visit some places that I have never been before and of course let us not forget all the other delights of spring such easter, picnics and farmer’s markets.
As I close out March and start to welcome April I am reminded to once again savor the season in which I find myself in because they are so fleeting, but always oh so full of joy and wonder. Now, let us cozy up for another Curated Weekly to start the weekend.
SHOPPING, BOOKS, MEDIA, ETC.
Lounging around at home with a book and coffee is always my idea of simple pleasure, and an oversized sweatshirt never hurts either and this Simply Sage Market Graphic Sweatshirt from Target looks so cute and cozy for the spring/summer season of lounging at home. It also comes in 3 different colors to choose from.
Another Target find from this past week is this small shell ceramic which would look great for a subtle coastal/summer look for the home. Whether it’s used as a planter or a catch-all, it’s a great decor piece at a great price point of only $20.00.
If you are a lover of teapots like I am then you will also probably love this Toptier Leaf Teapot from Amazon. I love this pretty shade of green and it’s a perfect little pot for spring/summer.
I love a pair of beautiful drop earrings and these freshwater pearl glass drop earrings from Ann Taylor are so lovely with that beautiful shade of light blue. I will be waiting for their next sale to get a pair of my own.
Nathalie Lété has come out with a new line of products for Anthropologie and I don’t think I could showcase just one item as they were all so fun in Nathalie Lété’s way and is reminiscent of coastal France in the summer, so I provided a link to the whole collection for you to peruse.
Summer dresses are always so chic, and this Stripe Twisted Midi Wrap Dress from The Loft would be a great one to wear this year and is at a great price too.
And simply because we are in a spring mood, we have to add a beautiful Emma Bridgewater Flowers Crocus Half Pint Mug to our list this week. Emma Bridgewater has some beautiful mugs, so be sure to check out the entire collection online.
I love discovering older books on simple living and I recently came across
A new book that was released just this past Thursday and looks to be a good cozy mystery is Nestled among the cobblestone streets of Compiègne, there existed a bakery unlike any other. Rumors were whispered through the town that its pastries offered a taste of magic, chasing away the darkest of sorrows. Just one bite of a croissant might bring luck, unlock a precious memory or reveal hidden longings. A book that is sure to be savored this season!
Coming up on April 8th will be a book that has piqued my interest recently,
This new decor book that came out back on March 4th, looks to be full of lovely inspiration. Known for a pretty and polished Palm Beach meets Park Avenue aesthetic, Bromley’s interiors are beloved. Often described as “classic with a kick,” her work is steeped in history but infused with a modernity that reflects how her clients want to live today. Bromley’s first book showcases her interiors from New York, St. Louis, and Palm Beach with the Hamptons and Connecticut between.
A show coming out at the end of April on Apple TV that I am so very excited to watch is Carême. “Carême” follows the thrilling story of the world’s first celebrity chef, Antonin Carême (Voisin), who rose from humble beginnings in Paris to the height of culinary stardom in Napoleon’s Europe. While he dreams only of becoming the most famous chef in the world, his talent and ambitions attract the attention of renowned and powerful politicians who use him as a spy for France. Determined to escape poverty and fulfill his dream, Carême can choose revenge, or he can have it all — women, wealth, fame — but at what cost? His love? His soul? His life?
From the adaptation of Françoise Sagan’s unforgettable coming-of-age novel by the same title, comes Durga Chew-Bose’s take on Bonjour Tristesse. A movie that masterfully captures the complexity of relationships between women and how they wield influence over one another’s fates. A movie I will be sure to watch as soon as I can.
And yet another movie on my list to see soon is Materialists starring Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans. It looks to be a fun romcom that will for sure be a good time to watch.
