With my trip to Paris coming up at the end of March, it’s hard not to be excited for all things French and that includes the new book releases for this year. I love Francophile books of all genres and I always look forward to the new ones being released each year. Last year we had many great Francophile reads that I truly enjoyed including The Paris Ingredient, A Paris Novel, How to Be French (this was actually released in October 2023), Clara Reads Proust, I’m Mostly Here to Enjoy Myself and Living Beautifully in Paris to name a few. And that’s not even taking into account any cook or decor books that were also released and enjoyed.
This year already has a lineup of Francophile books that I have on my list to read and savor. I am sure there will be plenty more too that will be announced throughout the year that I will get to share on the Curated Weekly posts every Friday. But if you too are planning your reading lists for the upcoming year or are simply curious as to what Francophile books will be released, then here is a list of upcoming books in 2025 that will transport you to France.
This one has a release date that is still pretty far out on October 28, 2025, but I have it on my list already and am looking forward to reading this one. Written by the same author of (Not Quite) Mastering the Art of French Living, this book looks to be simply charming as both a love letter to Brittany and a meditation on life’s unpredictability, Bonjour, Au Revoir (I’m Finally Finally French) is an invitation to laugh, learn, and savor the beauty of embracing change—no matter how daunting it seems.

Stroll through historic old towns with charming bookshops and boutiques or discover picturesque villages and the unique flair of authentic fishing villages to name a few.

Being released on April 8, 2025, French at Heart shows us how to create simple, joyous family meals around our own table, in whatever place we call home. Recipes range from classics that will make you fall in love with France—things like Salade Niçoise, French Onion Soup, and Tarte Tatin—to more modern French favorites with surprising flavors, like Tataki-Style Beef Tenderloin and Duck Confit Tostadas.

If you’re looking for a good novel that takes place in Paris, then look no further. This is described as A Paris Apartment meets A Simple Favor in an unputdownable thriller about a honeymoon gone horribly wrong. Being released on April 15, 2025, this looks to be a good page-turner. I don’t want to give any of the plot away, so I’ll leave you with a review that stated “The French Honeymoon is a decadent, suspense-fueled page-turner that instantly transported me to the City of Lights. It’s as glittering and captivating as Paris itself!”

Yet another novel to round out the collection for 2025 and not only is the cover simply stunning, but the story sounds most intriguing as well. Being released on June 17, 2025, Kristin Harmel, the New York Times bestselling author who “is the best there is at sweeping historical drama” returns with an electrifying new novel about two jewel thieves, a priceless bracelet that disappears in 1940s Paris, and a quest for answers in a decades-old murder. A perfect summer novel to escape to by the beach/pool/lake.

Love this post! I already had three of them on my list but I’m now happy to add a few more. Having too many books is impossible. 😉
I agree, who can have too many books about France?! I am going to Paris at the end of March with a girlfriend and I am very excited to visit one of my favorite cities again (and of course share on the blog too) 🙂
Also, you are going to Paris? So happy for you! 🙂
