Hello and welcome to A Petite Tresor. Some of you may have come here by way of Instagram, Pinterest or maybe just happenstance, either way I am happy you are here. I’ve had my “hobby” Instagram account for four years and I get so many comments and questions on various things about my life, travels and things I like to use or read. From there I went back and forth as to whether or not I would like to start a blog to expound upon these things for those that were interested. I love Instagram, but I can get fatigued from looking at flashes of IG story after story and especially fatigued with IG Reels.
I decided to take the plunge and create this blog as a fun hobby for me and a place for others to come and be inspired. I will mostly be sharing thoughts and ideas on simple inspirations to elevate the everyday. That is basically how the The Petite Tresor was created; it means The Small Treasure in French. I like to think that there is always a small treasure each and every day that we discover to elevate our everyday experience. For me it’s a perfectly frothed latte in the morning while listening to jazz music, quiet time to read a book, catching up on my favorite blog/podcasts, being out in nature, making a trip to an antique store to peruse, visiting a museum, watching an anticipated film or show or enjoying a small pot of tea at the end of the workday. There are so many little moments in our life that make the everyday feel more elevated and luxurious.
I will be sharing many things here on the blog and I hope that it becomes a place where you too can come back time and again to be inspired and enjoy the content in a slower pace than that of a 15 second video. While it is true that blogs are not as popular as they once were years ago, I still very much enjoy the blog experience and I also enjoy a simple, slower format of content than the constant ebb and flows of the algorithm. Thank you for stopping by and please say hello below! Also, don’t forget to sign up for the newsletter if you would like to be informed when new posts are created. As of right now I plan to do a post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but this is subject to change as I navigate what fits best for my lifestyle. would like to start a blog to expound upon these things for those that were interested. I love Instagram, but I can get fatigued from looking at flashes of IG story after story and especially fatigued with IG Reels.

Thank you so much for visiting Emily and it makes me happy to hear that you enjoy the new blog and find it as a simple pleasure each day. I am looking forward to sharing more and I appreciate your visits each and every time.
So lovely to read your blog, Katie 🙂 I’m excited to hear more from you. I love that you treat yourself to books, magazines and puzzles. Do you move them on after you’ve finished with them? This is always a conundrum for me. I love getting new things but feel overwhelmed with too many possessions. Thanks!
Thank you so much for visiting Fiona 🙂 I understand what you mean as I too don’t like keeping many things in my possession. If I really enjoyed the book then I will keep it, if I thought it was just okay or know that I may not read it again I will either pass it on or donate it. Magazines I am good to recycle and puzzles are kind of like books. I like to get a few puzzles for each season that way I can do them during that season such as spring/summer and fall/winter, but just like books if I didn’t like putting it together as much then I may donate it. The good thing about books, magazines and puzzles is that they are inexpensive, so if you feel you no are no longer going to use/read them, you can just donate for another to enjoy.
Makes perfect sense, I am the same. I keep favourites and move along the rest. Thank you for explaining your thought process 🙂
I love your instagram page and cannot wait read your blogposts! Thank you for sharing your treasures with us!
